A Vision of Sacred Spaces Across the United States and the World, Centers of Learning & Healing

Sacred spaces are created when people come together with faith, vision, and love.

A Network for Spiritual Retreat and Renewal

Imagine locations throughout the country where individuals and families can step away from the noise of daily life and enter into spaces dedicated to reflection, healing, and spiritual growth. Our vision is to build a growing network of spiritual retreats inspired by the heritage of the Latter Day Saint restoration—yet open to all who seek a deeper relationship with God and a more meaningful spiritual life.

These retreats may take many forms. Some may be peaceful farms or rural sanctuaries surrounded by nature. Others may be retreat campgrounds where groups gather for spiritual learning and fellowship. Some may be quiet spaces in the heart of cities dedicated to contemplation, service, and spiritual healing. Though their settings may differ, they share a common purpose: to create environments where the soul can rest, learn, and reconnect with divine light.

A Vision of Sacred Places

The first two Havens in the Havens Project are SonHaven in Missouri and The Makers Haven in Michigan. Our goal is to grow from here into Ohio and out west.

Within this network, each retreat center may offer its own unique combination of spiritual opportunities. Some locations may include Latter Day Saint temples or sacred spaces open to all seekers, providing places for meditation, prayer, and sacred reflection. Others may host classes, workshops, and spiritual learning, exploring scripture, restoration teachings, personal revelation, and practices that nurture the soul. Many may combine both—offering sacred spaces alongside opportunities for study, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

Each retreat center will be shaped by the people who create and steward it. Some may focus on farming, sustainability, and a connection with the land. Others may emphasize education, healing practices, or contemplative spiritual traditions. Together, they form a diverse yet united community of sacred places dedicated to spiritual renewal.

Inspired by the Restoration

Our work is inspired by the spiritual vision of the Latter Day Saint restoration, the belief that God continues to reveal truth, guide individuals, and invite humanity into deeper understanding. While rooted in this tradition, our retreats are nondenominational and welcoming to people from many backgrounds who share a desire to seek truth, practice compassion, and grow spiritually.

We believe that sacred places can help foster personal revelation, strengthen faith, and inspire communities to live with greater love, wisdom, and purpose.
